About

I began this journey 2 years ago on Etsy, with Icelandic Wool, a love for nature, and a deep love for the old ways of Iceland.

What started as a small, personal craft slowly became something more, a world of soft figures, each one shaped from wool and inspired by the hidden folklore said to live within the Icelandic landscape. Elves in the hills, trolls in the mountains, spirits carried by wind and snow… I felt drawn to bring them into form.

Every piece I create is made entirely by hand, using Icelandic wool, in a slow and intentional process. There are no machines, no shortcuts, only time, care, and quiet focus. (It is the reason why every order takes more than 2 weeks to ship.)

Over the past two years, and over 400+ sales, this small beginning has grown into something I never imagined: a place where my creations can travel beyond me, finding homes in different parts of the world.

Sveitastelpa means "Village girl" in Icelandic or "Folklore girl," a name that captures the spirit of simple, slow living life in the Icelandic rural side filled with Álfur cottages and turf houses and Iceland's misty mountains.

This is more than a shop to me. It is a reflection of a life I am building, one rooted in simplicity, creativity, and a deep connection to nature and story.

Takk fyrir að vera hluti af þessu.
